Give Us a KISS for Good Luck!

Blarney Castle in Ireland is well known for the fabulous good luck when anyone can make a wish and kiss the Blarney Stone.

In order to kiss the Stone, a person must climb a rather strenuous staircase to the roof some seven stories high. The attendants will happily lay brave individuals down on their backs at the very edge of the roof over a hole which had been used for boiling oil to be poured on invaders.

As the brave (or doltish) individual leans back on the precipice in empty space and makes an effort to kiss the grand ol' rock of good fortune out there, one has to wonder how well the fabled legend will extend in their lives!

But the experience is great and those who have achieved this amazing accomplishment will never forget the moment. Some have said, they have seen their entire lives flash before their eyes until the attendants assist the individual back up away from the dangerous edge.

However, the excitement does not end there. After the dizziing stunt, one must leave the grand building descending steps are so narrow and tall that all there is to cling to is a rope to lower the person one faltering step at a time to the exit of Blarney Castle.

Good Luck!
